What we repair

We work on Hayward, Jandy, Pentair, Zodiac, and Raypak equipment.

Pumps

Motors, seals, bearings, and impellers — plus variable-speed swaps when a repair no longer pencils.

Filters

Cartridge, DE, and sand systems. Tank leaks, manifold cracks, worn grids and laterals.

Heaters

Ignition faults, heat exchangers, gas valves, and control boards on all the major brands.

Salt systems

Cells, control boards, and flow switches — including the scale problems North County's hard water causes.

Leaks & plumbing

Pad plumbing, valve failures, and leak detection when the water level keeps dropping.

Automation & lights

Controllers, actuators, transformers, and LED fixtures that won't come on or won't change color.

When a repair isn't worth it

Sometimes the honest answer is don't fix it. A fifteen-year-old single-speed pump with a failing motor is a unit you'll be back to in a year — and California has required variable-speed on replacements since 2021 anyway. When that's the situation we'll show you the repair number and the replacement number side by side, including what the new pump saves you on your electric bill, and you can make the call.

Repair questions

What does the $250 service call cover?
A technician comes out, diagnoses the problem, and tells you exactly what's wrong and what it costs to fix. You get a real answer, not a guess over the phone.
And it comes off the repair?
In full. If you go ahead with the repair, the entire $250 credits against the job. Effectively the diagnosis is free if you hire us to fix it.
Why don't you publish an hourly rate?
Because an hourly rate on a website is close to meaningless before anyone has seen your equipment. A pump swap and a buried plumbing leak are not the same job. We quote the whole repair on site, in writing, before we start.
What brands do you work on?
All the major ones — Hayward, Jandy, Pentair, plus Zodiac and Raypak. If it's on a North County pool pad, we've probably had it apart.
What if the repair isn't worth doing?
We'll say so. On older equipment there's a point where a repair is throwing money at a unit that's going to fail again in a year, and replacement is the better spend. We'll show you both numbers and let you decide.
How fast can you come out?
Usually within a few business days, sooner if a pool is green or a commercial property is at risk of closing. Call (858) 829-7003 and we'll tell you the real schedule.
